Stan Olthuis’ XOXO #6 Believe

Stan Olthuis is an award-winning, mixed media artist focusing on energy, gesture & time. His work is imbued with a deep love of drawing formed at an early age. His work is in collections in Canada, the US, France & Japan. He recently won the 2014 OSA’s 141st Open Juried Exhibition “Game” award given to him from Curry’s Art Supplies. “I’m fascinated by time’s harsh effects on the city’s surfaces, such as construction hoardings that become layered, worked over and weathered while being subjected to random marks that people leave.” http://stanolthuis.com/

Andrea Rinaldo is a Collingwood-based artist and now gallery owner of Studio 65. “Fearless Colour. Bold Design. Passion. Fun.” are words that define Andrea and her work. Her deft eye for contrast and love of the exuberant has distinguished a career that has encompassed interior design & decoration as well as fashion design. Andrea and her work were featured on segment of “Candice Tells All’, filmed in MJG Gallery’s original location. The entire show revolved around the master bedroom where one of Andrea’s painting was centre stage. http://andrearinaldo.com/

Brendon McNaughton is a somewhat recent graduate from York University, having earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts, with Honours. He also studied at Deakin University, in Melbourne, Australia. Brendon takes a multi-media constructional approach with most of his concepts and has been honing his concepts further in shows in Toronto, New York City and Philadelphia. His work is not merely visual but also meant to engage with the viewer. http://mcnaughtonstudios.com
